 The Calm Before The Storm    [L]

Like a summer storm,
the wind dies down, and
having brought its charge,
pauses in roiling form

Echoes of activity hide
behind the mountains of mist
foretelling of sound and fury
and majesties of sight

Unnatural, it warns
that the silence and peace
give way to chaos,
the calm before the storm.
