From a Slashdot discussion on Net Neutrality:
Lawmakers don’t know enough technically to make a law that wouldn’t have unforeseen and damaging consequences, even if they supported net neutrality.
That sentiment covers about the last 100 years of legislation.

You could say the same thing about interstate commerce, economics, military operations, and any other piece of government that Congress oversees or regulates. Members of Congress are not experts on anything. They are generalists who enlist the help of experts in their panels, committee hearings, etc. What technical reasons do you have for opposing net neutrality?
